Prototype for Beolab 2 Subwoofer
One of Temponik’s regular customers is the Danish company Bang & Olufsen. B&O is recognized for their high quality design products and as a result of many years successful collaboration Temponik was asked to supply prototypes for the development of the new BeoLab 2 Subwoofer.
A total of 20 prototypes in aluminium were delivered and since then the Subwoofer has entered the world market.
“Price and delivery time are the main reasons for choosing Temponik" says Mechanical Engineer Jørgen Bendtsen from Bang & Olufsen. He continues: We have been working together with Temponik for more than 12 years and in this period we have experienced a high similarity between their prototypes and the final parts. Also the pressure die caster gained from the similarity. He was able to use the first prototypes for preliminary tests, tool construction and capabilities.”
BeoLab 2 subwoofer model is designed to reflect the designer David Lewis’s desire for the right balance between high performance and excellent appearance. We produced prototypes for Beolab2 using the TempoCast method that provides prototypes in a quality close to the finished die casting parts.
