Temponik offers Rapid Prototyping in light metal using the production process TempoForm. Using the TempoForm process we can cast prototypes in aluminium, magnesium and zinc within a week.
Start-up costs are very low when using TempoForm as no tools are needed and the method is ideal for producing one item and up. Furthermore, there are no restrictions to the part design which makes it ideal for initial testing of new concepts.
We offer different production methods to optimize quality accordingly your requirements and your specifications.
By prototyping using the TempoForm process no moulding tool is used. Depending on your specifications we use 3 different techniques for the production of models: SLS parts, 3D Print parts or injection moulded wax parts.
SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) involves using polystyrene (PS) powder and a laser beam that fuses the powder together and builds up the model layer by layer. The model is cheap and quick to produce and provides a relatively coarse prototype. This method is good for those items where the requirements for detail and finish are low.
3D Printing:
3D Printing is prepared by the "ink-jet process", but instead of ink a thin beam of the wax material is sprayed which subsequently solidifies. As such the model is constructed layer by layer. This production model provides a metal part with a smooth surface, a very high level of detail and wall thicknesses down to 0.6 mm.
Injection Moulded Wax:
If you need many parts the optimal solution is to use wax models for the production of prototypes in TempoForm. Wax models provide very smooth surfaces, a high level of detail and wall thicknesses down to 0.6 mm.
